Here's How it Works + What We Actually Do

Here’s how it works: We meet virtually from wherever you are on a weekly basis for the duration of months indicated in the program you choose.


How we get started: During our first session, I will help you identify a few very specific, measurable goals that are your TOP health and wellness priorities right now that will guide our work together throughout your program. For example…maybe you want to lose 20 pounds within 3 months, or you want to eat a more plant-based diet, or you want to get 8 hours of sleep nightly, or you want to reduce your stress-related headaches to no more than one a week. Awesome goals! These are all reasonable, measurable, and will improve your overall health and wellness by leaps and bounds. And by the end of session one, we will come up with 1-3 specific strategies that you will get started on right away during the upcoming week to set you on track for achieving these goals.


What happens between our sessions: You will work on those specific strategies we outlined together. I will direct you to any resources that I think will support your efforts. Maybe you need recipes, a food and mood journal, proven ways to cut down on caffeine, new exercises to amp up your workouts, strategies to help you get more quality sleep, energy boosting snacks to avoid that afternoon slump, or breathing exercise for stress reduction. And I’m here for you along the way to answer questions and give you that extra boost when you get stuck or need motivation to keep moving forward.


What we do at each session: We will always begin with my very favorite part of the program that I call “What’s good and new?” This is where you share with me all of the positive things that are going on for you, healthy changes you’ve made, surprise obstacles you’ve overcome, and goals you’ve crushed. This is a critical part of the program because all too often we get stuck focusing on all that we haven’t achieved yet, or backslides we had, or days we totally fell off the nutrition or fitness wagon. Those things will happen, and we’ll get to that. But first we focus on the FORWARD strides you’re making because that’s how we identify what works for YOU.


Then we move onto the rest: This is where we address the obstacles, the challenges, the stuff that isn’t working for you, the stuff that’s sabotaging your best intentions. This is where I put my expert Health and Wellness Coach training into high gear and help you tackle each one of these things getting in the way of you achieving your happiest, healthiest YOU. I’ll challenge you to dig deep and discover what’s REALLY holding you back. I’ll debunk your long-held myths of what’s possible and impossible. I’ll guide you away from your self-sabotaging behaviors and toward supportive and effective actions to make positive progress. And once again, by the end of each session, you’ll have 1-3 specific strategies to work on over the next week to keep moving forward on your goals.


How I know this process works: I’ve worked with a wide variety of clients who are struggling with many of the same challenges that you’re dealing with. Everyone comes to me with the ONE big problem – the top priority that they want to tackle – the thing that has them so fed up, frustrated, and feeling defeated. And through our time together, we unearth all the smaller pieces and parts underneath that play very important roles in achieving ultimate health and wellness. WHY can’t you lose those extra pounds even though you’re eating healthier? WHY can’t you stick to an exercise routine? WHY can’t you kick those sugar cravings? WHY can’t you get better sleep and have more energy? WHY can’t you place better boundaries to protect your time for self-care or quality family time?


Uncovering your WHY is the magical part of the process. It’s the very heart and soul of making sustainable lifestyle changes that will take your health and wellness to great new heights. And I’VE SEEN IT HAPPEN countless times. It’s what gets me bounding out of bed each morning excited to help my clients just like YOU uncover their WHY, equip them with the tools they need, and motivate and encourage them every step of the way to ultimate success. We’ll work together for 12 weeks to give you plenty of time to practice what we discuss, let it all gel in, work through bumps in the road as they come along, and experiment with different tactics to discover what ultimately works best for YOU.

 

I offer three different packages for you to choose from. All of them include the same extra goodies outside of our one-on-one sessions – the only difference is the frequency of our sessions. As you consider the options, I realize the expense is part of your decision. I can’t determine for you what you can afford, but I can say definitively that your health and wellness is always worth the investment! And I am fully committed to offering you a valuable experience working with me.   • Our valuable time together: Our initial 60-minute one-on-one video chat, followed by a series of 45-minute sessions over 3 months (specific schedule depends on the package you choose) – we dive deep into your personal goals so you can start making healthy changes right away and keep making progress, tweaking as we go to ensure you get the most you possibly can out of our work together.
  • Practice, practice, practice: Customized “homework” for you to complete between sessions to move forward on your goals – together we’ll decide what you’ll work on, and I’ll hold you accountable.
  • Celebrating + troubleshooting: Discussion of and feedback on your “homework” at each session – we’ll celebrate your wins and troubleshoot your obstacles.
  • On-the-go support: Email support between sessions – sometimes you just can’t wait til the next session to share a victory or ask a quick question.
  • Continuing education: Additional resources customized for your needs and goals – there’s no “one size fits all” here, so we’ll zero in on what you need most.
