Nutrition and physical and mental wellness have been extremely important to me for as long as I can remember. And in my early years of motherhood, I struggled with my own personal journey of self-healing as I navigated through a long list of unexplained physical symptoms that no doctor could ever pinpoint as I was repeatedly labelled clinically “healthy as a horse” according to all exams and lab tests (stay tuned for my book in the works on that long and complicated saga).

I, like you, refused to accept that this was just my “new normal” to which I had to adapt. I was determined to regain my vital and thriving life that had been inexplicably stripped away from me at a time when I so desperately needed and wanted it most (keeping up with a little one is no joke, right?). So I began researching data, theories, methods, real-life experiences and new developments, and applying them in my own life to help me try to understand what was going on in my body and to figure out how I could fix it…naturally and permanently.
Somewhere along this journey, I realized there was one thing no doctor ever asked me about…what was I putting IN my body, how were my stress levels, was I happy? Still sounding familiar??
The seemingly crazy thing to me at the time was that I was eating, exercising and generally living a “healthier” life by traditional standards than most people, including my family and friends. So why didn’t I FEEL like the vision of health? Why were the lethargy, heart palpitations, dizzy spells, exhaustion, GI problems, anxiety and more so debilitating at times that I couldn’t even mother my own child adequately or squeeze out an ounce of joy from the day? Because “traditional standards” of healthy living are no way to live! No way to thrive and be your happiest, healthiest YOU. I deserved better – and so do YOU.
