Why can’t you simply make a plan to exercise more and eat better, and stick to it? For life. Why can’t you just go to bed on time, sleep soundly through the night, and wake up totally refreshed? Every day for forever. Why can’t you strike a beautiful balance between your time at work and your family time with great ease and no stress? Zero stress ever.
The answer is: you’re human! It’s ok, we all are. There’s no judgment, no blame, no looking back on past choices. If I stop to think back on some of the ways I treated my body, junk I ate, lack of sleep I got, and on and on years ago…whew, let’s just not even go there! And even now, no day is perfect on all counts. We all enter our wellness journey at different times and different stages in our lives, and for different reasons. We also come into the journey with different levels of knowledge on related topics, misconceptions, confusion, and lifestyle habits we want to change.
It’s called a journey for a reason. It takes time, persistence, learning, an open mind, and self-forgiveness. It’s also really hard to do all alone. We have to support each other, share our ideas, give each other encouragement, troubleshoot the tough stuff together, hold each other accountable, and celebrate every win along the way. Accountability, reliable resources, and the proper tools are necessary for each and every one of us to achieve success. That’s exactly why I’ve devoted the rest of my life to health and wellness coaching.
